Minor Programs
The Stephenson Department of Entrepreneurship & Information Systems offers three minors to enhance your studies. Refine your skills and gain a competitive edge on the job market with added expertise.
Analytics Minor
The analytics minor is an 18-hour program offered in-person and open to any LSU student. It teaches how to use data analysis to help organizations make effective decisions. Prepare yourself with business analytics, data mining, data & information management, and data warehousing coursework to support your future business or help your employer make more informed decisions.
To graduate with a minor in Analytics, students must complete 18 hours consisting of the following courses: ISDS 2000, ISDS 2001, ISDS 3110 or ISDS 3003 or ISDS 3009, and 9 hours of departmentally approved analytics electives. Students must have a 2.0 GPA in the courses used to satisfy the minor. At least nine semester hours must be taken on this campus, and, of the nine hours, at least three must be at the 3000 or 4000 level.

Exceptions
- For ISA majors only, ISDS 3200 will sub in for analytics minor electives.
- For ISA majors only, with approval from department, ISDS 3075 may sub in for analytics minor electives (when ISDS 3075 is approved as an analytics internship)
- Certain ISDS 4070 sections (permission of instructor) may be available to non-ISDS majors. Comments in course offerings schedule will clarify this.)
Entrepreneurship Minor
The entrepreneurship minor is a 15-hour program offered in-person and open to any LSU student that provides significant exposure to core business entrepreneurship theory and practice. You will learn to develop a business concept, identify, and evaluate business opportunities, and effectively manage a business.
To graduate with an Entrepreneurship Minor, students must complete 15 hours consisting of the following courses: ENTR 2000, ENTR 3012, ENTR 3111, and six additional hours to be chosen from departmentally-approved electives. Students must have a 2.0 GPA in the courses used to satisfy the minor. At least nine semester hours must be taken on this campus, and, of the nine hours, at least three must be at the 3000 or 4000 level. Non-Business majors are strongly encouraged to take ENTR 2999 as an elective, and as the first of the five required courses.

*Certain sections of ENTR 4010 (prereq.: Open only to ENTR majors in BADM or permission of instructor) and ENTR 4030 (prerequisite: ENTR 3111 and Permission of Instructor) may be available to non-ENTR majors (See above: comments in schedule course offerings will clarify this.)
The Entrepreneurship Minor is not available to students majoring in entrepreneurship.
Information Technology Management Minor
The information technology management minor is a 15-hour offered online that can be paired with any LSU degree. Coursework focuses on programming, querying, and information systems. Empower your future organization with innovative IT solutions.
To graduate with a minor in Information Technology Management, students must complete 15 hours consisting of the following courses: ISDS 3001; ISDS 3002; ISDS 3003; and six additional hours to be chosen from departmentally approved ISDS electives. Students must have a 2.0 GPA in the courses used to satisfy the minor. At least nine semester hours must be taken through LSU.
