Finance Internships 

Internships allow students to apply classroom learning to real-world situations while making professional connections. LSU finance majors who have secured a paid internship offer may be able to receive three credit hours in FIN 3930 (undergraduate) or FIN 7930 (graduate). 

If you qualify (see requirements below) send the required forms to Kurtay Ogunc.

Requirements to receive credit include:

• Finance-related internship
• 300+ hours of work (10 weeks @ 30 hrs/wk or 15 weeks of 20 hrs/wk, for example)
• Pre-intern paperwork: Request Form & Supervisor Form
• Weekly progress emails
• Post-intern employer evaluation
• Cohesive 20-page report due finals week

• Create a LinkedIn profile and follow the LSU Department of Finance LinkedIn page.
• Upload your resume in Handshake and regularly browse through the available opportunities
• Visit the Olinde Career Center for great information on resume building, cover letter writing, and job search strategies.
