Biography

Lisa Frazier Page is a professional-in-residence at LSU’s Manship School of Mass Communication. Her career spans more than 35 years as an award-winning reporter, columnist, editor and newsroom recruiter at The Washington Post and The Times-Picayune, and a nationally acclaimed author. Her book, “The Pact: Three Young Men Make a Promise and Fulfill a Dream,” was a New York Times bestseller, and her memoir about the youngest member of the Little Rock Nine, “A Mighty Long Way: My Journey To Justice At Little Rock Central High School,” was a Los Angeles Times bestseller. Before joining the Manship School, Page worked as the communications director for the District Attorney’s Office, 22nd Judicial District in Louisiana. She has taught a range of mass communication courses, including mass media law, feature writing, reporting and news writing, for more than 30 years. Page holds a master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and a bachelor’s degree in English and mass communication from Dillard University.
