Kreslyn Kelley-Ellis
Director, The Lighthouse Program
My professional endeavor is rooted in a profound commitment to fostering personal
growth and resilience in individuals, particularly during challenging life circumstances.
Life unfolds with a kaleidoscope of moments, encompassing both joys and adversities. My role in this capacity is dedicated to guiding individuals through the latter, illuminating their path with a beacon of hope and unwavering support.
I aspire to create an environment imbued with warmth and compassion, where students recognize they possess the agency to choose a path of personal growth over bitterness following encounters with violence and trauma. While the ultimate decision rests with them, my objective is to provide a nurturing space that empowers students to make choices aligned with their aspirations. Witnessing their commitment to education and the transformative journey toward healing their spirit is the fulfillment of my earthly mission.

Top three reads
I possess a myriad cherished books, but when compelled to select three, I choose the Bible, "The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success," and "The Four Agreements." I've read them countless times and refer to them often. Reading them has enhanced my life.
Making an impact abroad
I have been privileged to make multiple trips to Uganda, where I conducted professional development sessions for educators, addressed thousands of students with messages of hope, and assisted with the formation of curricula for student leaders.
Favorite spot on campus
The Enchanted Forest behind the Student Health Center is my serene campus retreat. The towering oak trees grace the walking path, offering me a tranquil haven for my regular lunchtime strolls. It is, hands down, my favorite spot on campus.
