The department's faculty provide the foundation for maintaining our outstanding educational and research programs. Therefore, the ability to attract and retain a world-class faculty is of central importance to achieving the National Flagship Agenda. Endowed chairs and professorships bring great distinction and provide discretionary funds crucial to supporting academic excellence. The State of Louisiana Board of Regents Support Fund (BRSF) provides a 40 percent match for certain gifts, leveraging the private donation.
