LSU Transcript Request
Louisiana State University processes transcript requests for all current and former students through a partnership with Parchment. The online order form allows for orders to be placed 24/7, students can opt to receive secure official transcripts electronically or official hard copies of their transcripts. All payments are due at the time of order with a credit or debit card.
Our portal can only issue transcripts for courses taken through: LSU A&M – Baton Rouge, LSU Online, LSU Online and Distance Learning, LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, and the LSU Law Center.
This ordering process is not available for non-credit courses pursued through LSU’s Distance Learning Unit, NCBRT, or FETI.
You can select to have transcripts sent electronically or mailed to another institution, Centralized Application Services (CAS), to yourself, or to a specific individual. Transcripts can also be picked up in person by selecting the option “Hold for Local Pickup”.
When creating your Parchment account, we recommend using an email to which you will have long-term access, like your personal email account.

Louisiana State University will not accept transcript requests via mail, fax, or email.

When selecting “Hold for Local Pickup”, individuals are electing to receive their transcript in person from the Registrar’s Office.

You’ll Need: Email confirmation that your order has been completed and a valid photo ID
Transcripts can only be picked up by the person indicated on the Parchment order with a valid photo id.
If you are a student who completed a course through the LSU Office of Distance Learning (ODL) you will not have access to myLSU; however, you can access your transcript through Parchment.
It is your responsibility to ensure the grade has been confirmed by your instructor and posted to the university system prior to requesting a transcript. To verify the status of your grade, please contact LSU Online Distance Learning ([email protected]). If an order is submitted before a grade is posted, the order will be canceled.
ODL students cannot receive transcripts for in-progress courses. Your course and grade is posted to your transcript for the term in which the course was completed. The term of completion cannot be changed.
If you have a form that needs to be attached to your official transcript and filled out by the Registrar’s office. You will be able to upload it through Parchment and mark it for Registrar Attention.

If there is a hold on your account that prevents the release of your transcript, you will be contacted by our office.
The Office of Bursar Operations places holds on the release of transcripts of students who are in debt to the University. Please be aware that if there is a “Bursar Hold” on your transcript, and you choose to pay what you owe the University via myLSU using a credit card, it may take up to 48 hours to clear your account and to lift the hold. Electronic PDF transcripts will not be re-sent without the placement of a separate order.
LSU does not offer unofficial transcripts. Currently enrolled students can print a college record through their myLSU account. College Record is a free, unofficial document that provides you with the same information that is found on the Transcript document. Information on requesting a College Record is available on GROK.
Louisiana State University will only re-send mailed transcripts to higher education institutions.
Higher education institutes with a domestic mailing address will be resent to the same address at no charge after 15 days and up to 30 days from the date of the initial order. Requests for re-send before 15 days or after 30 days of the initial order will require the placement of a separate order.
Higher education institutes with an international mailing address will be resent to the same address at no charge after 30 days and up to 45 days from the date of the initial order. Requests for re-send before 30 days or after 45 days of the initial order will require the placement of a separate order.
Electronic PDF transcripts will not be re-sent without the placement of a separate order.
