Biological Engineering Student Organization (BESO)

LSU's very own Biological Engineering Student Organization consisting of active, ambitious BE students and your dedicated elected officers. BESO holds periodic meetings for members—though all BE and BE-prospect students are welcome. These catered, after-class meetings often involve guest speakers and informative discussions of interest for every BE undergrad including important information about applying for grad school and med school as well as starting careers in various industries. This is a great way to get involved and become proactive in your future plans. 

How to become an active member:

  • Attend two meetings per semester 
  • Pay dues which is $5 a semester
  • Submit hazing prevention certificate 
  • Join the Tigerlink

1st General Meeting: 9/5 @ 6pm in BEC 1125

Jeremiah's Ice GIveback: 9/20 from 12 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Pickleball Social: 9/26 @ 7 p.m. in UREC

Upperclassmen Panel: 10/2 @ 6 p.m. in PFT 1263

2nd General Meeting: 10/9 @ 6 p.m. in PFT 1263

Cane's Giveback: 10/16 all day @ both Highland Rd. and Lee Dr. locations

Lounge Cleaning: 10/28 @ 6 p.m. in BESO Lounge

3rd General Meeting: 11/12 @ 6pm in BEC 1125

Potato Bagging: 11/13 @ 5 p.m. in Ag Metals Machine Shop

Sweet Potato and Rice Sale: 11/18 - 11/22 and 11/25 - 11/27 on corner of Highland Rd. and South Stadium Dr.

Finals Study Night: 12/2 @ 6-9pm in BESO lounge
