2023 Homecoming Events
Door Decor!
Let's show our Champion Spirit on Campus!
In an effort to spread the homecoming spirit throughout campus, LSU Staff Senate is excited to partner with Campus Life to host the 2023 Homecoming Door Decor competition on campus. Departments are challenged to decorate their entrances/info desks, etc. using the competition theme: Champion Status. To enter, departments must submit a photo of their decorations via this TigerLink form by Monday, October 16 at 11:59 p.m.
Entries will be judged by members of the 2023 Homecoming Court and announced via social media during Homecoming Week, October 16-21.
Spirit Banners!
Show your Homecoming spirit by submitting a banner to be displayed in front of the LSU Student Union.
The banner competition challenges LSU student organizations and groups to design and
create an artistic banner showcasing the 2023 LSU Homecoming competition theme “Champion
Status.” We encourage all students to display their artistic abilities, creativity,
and LSU pride by submitting a banner. Banners and organizations will be featured on
LSU Campus Life social media.
Banner Guidelines:
A QUEEN/FULL-SIZED flat bed sheet (roughly 81 x 96 inches) is acceptable. Campus Life
has a limited number of sheets available for Registered Student Organizations to pick
up from the Campus Life office. Banners will be hung on Wednesday, October 18 on the
front of the LSU Student Union. Individuals and groups are not allowed to hang their
own banner. Deliver banners to the Campus Life office, 358J LSU Student Union, by
4:30 p.m., on Monday, October 16. The banner should showcase the theme “Champion Status”.
The theme is intended to be broad to allow for creativity. The name of the sponsoring
organization should be clearly seen and spelled out on the banner. (Greek letters
are permitted.) Campus Life reserves the right to not display submissions that are
deemed in violation of the University’s Commitment to Community and the LSU Code of
Student Conduct.
