Diagnosis and treamtment of a varitey of voice and swallowing disorders specializing in area of Head & Neck Cancer.

 

 

BIO

Melissa Lalande, Clinical Faculty,  joined the department of LSU COMD in 2007. She has extensive knowledge and clinical experience in the evaluation and treatment of a variety of voice and swallowing disorders, including the use of videoflouroscopy and videoestroboscopy. Melissa also collaborates with LSU School of Medicine Department of Otolaryngology physicians and residents in the treatment of Head and Neck Cancer patients in an outpatient setting. These services include voice and swallow rehabilitation pre and post cancer treatment and post surgical voice restortion, including voice prosthesis management of the laryngtomized patient.
