Dr. Mehdi Zeidouni Webinar on Tuesday, February 11, 2025
oin us for an in-depth exploration of CO₂ storage projects with Dr. Mehdi Zeidouni. This webinar will cover analytical approaches to estimating CO₂ dissolution trapping, highlighting key comparisons with numerical simulations and potential inaccuracies caused by large model discretizations. Dr. Zeidouni will also discuss the often-overlooked role of subsurface temperature data in CO₂ injection monitoring. Topics include: • Tracking CO₂ flow and injection zonation using temperature observations • Using warmback data analysis to estimate the injection profile • Investigating surface heat mapping as a method for detecting CO₂ leakage in legacy wells This session is ideal for professionals and researchers in carbon storage, geoscience, and reservoir engineering. Don't miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights into CO₂ trapping and storage monitoring techniques!

LSU Engineering, LSUHSC School of Dentistry Collaboration Illustrates Benefit to Industry
August 30, 2024 Researchers Creating New Bonding Material for Braces BATON ROUGE, LA – Each year, 9 million people in the U.S. get braces. Whether it’s to fix a bad bite or simply gain a more attractive smile, braces have almost become a rite of passage in Western culture. In an attempt to improve the effectiveness of bonding material used in braces, LSU Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) School of Dentistry-Prosthodontics is collaborating with LSU’s College of Engineering on three projects led by LSUHSC Digital Fabrication Center Director and LSU Petroleum Engineering Assistant Professor of Research Charles Taylor.
