Research Interests
Dr. Moe's research program is focused on both fundamental and applied aspects of biological treatment of municipal, industrial, and hazardous wastes. Specific interests include treatment of gas-phase contaminants in biofilters, anaerobic processes for treatment of water and soil contaminated by chlorinated organic compounds, engineering implications of microbial physiology, molecular tools for characterizing microbial populations, industrial waste treatment, and the application of Sequencing Batch Reactors (SBRs).
