Dr. Taylor Santaloci serves as the Chemical Safety Manager for the Office of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) at Louisiana State University. In this role, Dr. Santaloci oversees the EHSA database, monitors chemical purchases across the LSU campus, and inspects chemical inventories. Additionally, Dr. Santaloci manages the EHS consultation and laboratory inspection program in support of the chemical safety program and assists with hazardous waste management.

Dr. Santaloci received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry from Georgia Southern University. He went on to pursue his doctoral degree in the chemistry department at the University of Mississippi under the supervision of Dr. Ryan Fortenberry. His doctoral research involved establishing a combinatorial library that created a database of molecular dyes for dye sensitized solar cells. Dr. Santaloci's dissertation is titled “The Automation of Molecular Dyes in Dye Sensitized Solar Cells and the Electronically Excited States of PAH Anions.”
