Jason LeJeune currently serves as LSU’s Environmental Health and Safety manager. He is responsible for conducting routine safety audits and inspections of research laboratories for regulatory compliance as well as compliance with LSU policies and procedures. Dr. LeJeune received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA. He completed his doctoral studies, Designing and developing novel chiral cross-linking monomers for use in Molecularly Imprinted Polymers, in the Department of Chemistry at LSU. After completing his Ph. D, Dr. LeJeune accepted a post-doctoral position in the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, TN working on new polymeric nanomaterial’s for energy and security applications.
