Brief Biography
Logan McIlwain is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with significant experience in mental health, specifically treating children, adolescents, and their families. He obtained his Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University. He developed a strong clinical background while working at Children’s Behavior Health Services and the School Based Therapy Program, both associated with Capital Area Human Services District in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. There he worked closely with children, adolescents, and families who experienced behavior and/or emotional problems. These experiences became the foundations which led Logan to pursue a career as a clinician in private practice where he continues to serve the needs of the children and adolescents in the community. Logan has completed additional training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Children, Parent Management Training and is also a Qualified Parenting Coordinator and Qualified Child Custody and Visitation Mediator in the State of Louisiana. His primary areas of interest include: child and adolescent development, theory, and intervention strategies as well as parenting/co-parenting strategies. Logan enjoys utilizing his experiences in direct practice to further enhance his teaching.
