Biography
Dr. Tyree Mitchell completed his predoctoral fellowship at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and received his PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from DePaul University. His research currently focuses on understanding group processes in organizations (e.g., leadership, teamwork, trust, conflict and negotiations) using a social identity approach. His research has been funded by major funding agencies, such as the National Science Foundation (NSF), and has been published in high-impact peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Journal of Applied Psychology) and featured in popular press outlets (e.g., Forbes, Harvard Business Review). His recent book with University of Toronto Press, Searching for Trust in the Global Economy, provides insight into the cultural similarities and differences that emerge during the process of deciding to trust potential business partners in different regions of the world.
