Biography

Melissa has been involved in some form of education, health care, and/or service for over 20 years. She has had the privilege to utilize her professional skills in a variety of settings and currently serves as an Associate Professor of Professional Practice for the School of Kinesiology at Louisiana State University. Her previous professional experience as a certified athletic trainer provided a strong foundation in clinical anatomy and healthcare.  Melissa currently serves as the Director of the Rathbone Human Anatomy and Cadaver Lab and Clinical Preceptor for Baton Rouge Sports Medicine Physician Fellowship.  She is also the Coordinator for Human Movement Concentration within the School of Kinesiology and multiple LSU student professional organizations on campus.  Her favorite role is being a wife and mom.
