Garrett Ordner is a research project director at the Center for Energy Studies. His
responsibilities include providing oversight and developing a strategic plan for Louisiana's
energy data projects by coordinating with state agencies, supporting research projects,
and maintaining data quality. His primary responsibility is the development and maintenance
of a central, comprehensive, and unified energy data and information program pursuant
to Act 727 of the 2024 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature.
Prior to joining the Center for Energy Studies, Mr. Ordner served as an economist
and fiscal analyst with the Louisiana Legislative Fiscal Office. He earned a B.S.
in Economics (2015) and a Master of Applied Statistics (2017) from Louisiana State
University.
