Siddhartha Narra is a research associate at the Center for Energy Studies, Louisiana State University. His responsibilities include managing, processing and analyzing oil and gas activity data of the Gulf of Mexico and the State of Louisiana using quantitative modeling techniques, exploratory and descriptive statistical methods, and geographic information systems.
Dr. Narra's current research includes understanding the economic impacts of coastal land loss and extreme weather events on Louisiana's energy infrastructure; assessing energy sustainability in vulnerable coastal systems; and reviewing, modeling and forecasting oil and gas energy development, production and decommissioning trends in the Outer Continental Shelf.
Prior to joining the Center for Energy Studies, Dr. Narra received his M.S. (2002) and Ph.D. (2007) in natural resources and environmental sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
