Research Interests

I am a toxicologist whose main research interests involve characterizing differences in sensitivity to chemicals among species, identifying the specific mechanisms that drive those differences, and developing frameworks by which this knowledge can be used to guide more objective ecological risk assessments for native species of regulatory concern. My research combines in silico, in vitro, and in vivo assays, as well as toxicogenomics (transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics), for investigations of both model and non-model species of fish, amphibians, reptiles, and birds.
