Originally from St. Cloud, FL, Dr. Jerrod Penn is an applied economist focused on the intersection of resource/environmental impacts and policy with sustainability and society, frequently using behavioral analyses. His interdisciplinary collaborations include work with entomology, biology, forestry/wildlife, and hospitality/tourism. His work has received attention in popular press, including The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times. He also enjoys collaborative research/teaching efforts that have led to several teaching awards, undergraduate-authored research publications, and coaching three AAEA national quiz bowl champion teams in 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2022.
